This includes physical and online casinos, sportsbooks, bookmakers, betting exchanges, lotteries, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming-machine operations, paid fantasy or prediction products that function as wagering, sweepstakes or dual-currency casino models with economically valuable wagering, and direct ownership of purpose-built gambling properties. The factual classification applies whether the activity is licensed, unlicensed, prohibited, or legally disputed; legal status is recorded separately. Bona fide financial instruments used principally for investment, hedging, insurance, or price discovery are excluded.
