Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.
Included when supported
Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.
- 01Criterion
Include reactor instrumentation, protection, monitoring, and control systems specifically designed or nuclear-qualified for civilian power-reactor operation.
- 02Criterion
Include nuclear-qualified cooling, heat-removal, water-chemistry, containment, ventilation, and safety systems supplied for civilian nuclear-power applications.
- 03Criterion
Include nuclear-specific decommissioning, dismantling, remediation, and radiological characterization services for civilian power reactors.
- 04Criterion
Include spent-fuel storage, radioactive-waste treatment, conditioning, transport containers, disposal, and containment systems specifically serving civilian nuclear power.
- 05Criterion
Include nuclear-qualified maintenance, inspection, testing, outage, safety, radiation-protection, and life-extension services.
- 06Criterion
Include engineering and consulting where the service is demonstrably nuclear-specific and directly supports civilian power operation, safety, decommissioning, or waste management.
Excluded on this basis alone
These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.
- 01Criterion
Exclude plant generation, fuel-cycle production, or new-build engineering from this screen when no separate support-service role is evidenced.
- 02Criterion
Exclude general engineering, maintenance, testing, construction, environmental, or professional services without nuclear-specific expertise and a documented nuclear-power deliverable.
- 03Criterion
Exclude standard industrial components and materials that are neither specifically designed nor nuclear-qualified for the civilian nuclear application.
- 04Criterion
Exclude medical, research, industrial-isotope, or general hazardous-waste handling without a civilian nuclear-power connection.
- 05Criterion
Exclude generic information technology, business software, cloud, office systems, and ordinary control software without nuclear-specific qualification or integration.
- 06Criterion
Exclude uranium mining, enrichment, fabrication, and fuel supply when no separate support-service role is evidenced.
