Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.
Included when supported
Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.
- 01Criterion
Include entities that directly operate civilian nuclear reactors generating electricity.
- 02Criterion
Include owners of nuclear generating assets in commercial operation or commissioning where the owner has accepted substantive operational or economic responsibility.
- 03Criterion
Include public, private, or mixed-ownership utilities with active civilian nuclear power generation.
- 04Criterion
Include entities managing or operating civilian nuclear plants under concession, management, government, or public-private agreements.
- 05Criterion
Include entities whose current operational or regulatory disclosures establish nuclear electricity generation, ownership, or operator responsibility.
Excluded on this basis alone
These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.
- 01Criterion
Exclude entities whose only nuclear generating assets have permanently ceased operation and entered decommissioning; preserve historical involvement separately.
- 02Criterion
Exclude entities engaged only in decommissioning, dismantling, remediation, or post-closure management without current nuclear generation.
- 03Criterion
Exclude designers, constructors, developers, engineers, and technology suppliers without plant ownership or operational responsibility.
- 04Criterion
Exclude fuel, component, maintenance, waste, and support-service suppliers without ownership or operation of a civilian nuclear generating asset.
- 05Criterion
Exclude research reactors, isotope-production reactors, medical facilities, and other nuclear installations not used for electricity generation.
- 06Criterion
Exclude announced or planned plants without active construction, commissioning, ownership of a committed project, or operational responsibility; project-development activity may qualify under Civilian Nuclear Power Plant Development and Engineering.
