Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.
Included when supported
Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.
- 01Criterion
Include food and beverage manufacturers that intentionally formulate or manufacture products with palm oil, palm-kernel oil, or identifiable palm-derived ingredients.
- 02Criterion
Include personal-care, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and consumer-health manufacturers that intentionally use identifiable palm-derived ingredients.
- 03Criterion
Include household, industrial, chemical, oleochemical, cleaning, candle, biofuel, and other manufacturers with a documented intentional palm-oil or palm-derivative input.
- 04Criterion
Include retailers, distributors, traders, and brand owners only where direct sale, sourcing, private-label control, title, or material commercial responsibility for palm products is documented; diversified-retailer thresholds are policy overlays.
- 05Criterion
Include private-label and contract-controlled brands that specify, source, or formulate qualifying palm ingredients.
Excluded on this basis alone
These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.
- 01Criterion
Exclude cultivation, milling, refining, and derivative-processing roles from this downstream screen when no separate distribution or finished-product role is evidenced.
- 02Criterion
Exclude generic freight, warehousing, payment, advertising, and logistics services without title to, control of, or dedicated handling of palm products.
- 03Criterion
Exclude retailers whose documented current assortment and private-label products do not contain qualifying palm inputs.
- 04Criterion
Exclude manufacturers whose verified current formulations are palm-free.
- 05Criterion
Exclude ingredient and raw-material suppliers when the available evidence does not establish a palm-derived product or feedstock.
