Identifies companies and other entities that own, control, or directly operate oil-palm plantations or cultivate and harvest oil-palm fruit for commercial use. Land ownership without oil-palm cultivation, other crops, processing or trading without plantation activity, and fully divested or ceased operations are excluded. Certification, traceability, deforestation, conversion, labour, and materiality characteristics are recorded separately as evidence or policy attributes.

Identifies companies and other entities that own or operate mills, crushers, refineries, fractionation facilities, or derivative-manufacturing processes that convert oil-palm fruit, crude palm oil, palm-kernel oil, or palm feedstocks into commercial ingredients or intermediates. Cultivation-only roles, trading without physical processing, downstream product use, non-palm oils, and ceased activity are excluded. Certification, sourcing and traceability status are recorded separately.

Identifies companies and other entities that intentionally and materially trade, distribute, formulate, manufacture, brand, or sell products containing palm oil, palm-kernel oil, or identifiable palm-derived ingredients. The direct activity and product or supply-chain connection must be documented; incidental exposure through broad retail assortments or remote commodity chains is handled through client-policy thresholds rather than presumed. Cultivation and processing are classified separately, while generic logistics, ingredient supply without palm evidence, and verified palm-free operations are excluded.
