Gambling

Identifies companies and other entities that own, operate, manage, or materially control customer-facing gambling venues, platforms, or wagering services in which participants stake money or another item of redeemable value on a game, contest, contingency, or event for the possibility of receiving money or another prize of value. This includes physical and online casinos, sportsbooks, bookmakers, betting exchanges, lotteries, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming-machine operations, paid fantasy or prediction products that function as wagering, sweepstakes or dual-currency casino models with economically valuable wagering, and direct ownership of purpose-built gambling properties. The factual classification applies whether the activity is licensed, unlicensed, prohibited, or legally disputed; legal status is recorded separately. Bona fide financial instruments used principally for investment, hedging, insurance, or price discovery are excluded. Retail event-contract models with mixed or disputed regulatory treatment are classified from their economic function, customer use, marketing, contract design, and the entity's transaction role rather than from labels alone. A company may also qualify for Gambling Support Services where it separately supplies gambling-specific products or services to third parties.

Identifies companies and other entities that supply products or services specifically designed, materially modified, marketed, or contractually dedicated to gambling operations, including gambling equipment, software, game content, odds or trading data, affiliate marketing, white-label or managed platforms, external lottery services, and gambling-dedicated transaction, payment, wallet, identity, geolocation, KYC, fraud-control, player-exclusion, or compliance infrastructure. A provider may qualify at the product, service, platform, or contract level even when it also serves other industries; the relevant offering need not be used solely for gambling. Generic or incidental services are excluded unless evidence establishes a gambling-specific nexus. A company may qualify for both Gambling Operations and Gambling Support Services when separately supported activities satisfy each leaf.
