How to read this definition

Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.

Can establish this activity

Included when supported

Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.

Does not establish this activity on its own

Excluded on this basis alone

These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.

5 criteria
  1. 01Criterion

Exclude licensing, streaming, retail, and distribution where the entity does not create, commission, finance, or own production of the content.

  2. 02Criterion

Exclude physical venues and adult services without media-production activity.

  3. 03Criterion

Exclude user-generated-content platforms that neither produce nor commission content and lack substantive editorial or production control; distribution may qualify separately if adult monetization is deliberate and material.

  4. 04Criterion

Exclude mainstream film, television, publishing, arts, education, health, and general entertainment with incidental nudity or sexual themes that are not primarily pornographic.

  5. 05Criterion

Exclude verified ceased adult-media production from current involvement while preserving historical involvement and effective dates.
