Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.
Included when supported
Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.
- 01Criterion
Include websites, applications, streaming services, and subscription platforms principally or materially engaged in distributing pornographic or sexually explicit media.
- 02Criterion
Include physical or digital distributors, retailers, and download services whose qualifying adult-content business is direct and material.
- 03Criterion
Include adult video-on-demand, pay-per-view, pay-television, and channel operators.
- 04Criterion
Include entities that license, syndicate, aggregate, or resell adult-content libraries.
- 05Criterion
Include creator platforms that deliberately monetize sexually explicit content through subscriptions, transactions, advertising, tipping, or revenue sharing and exercise substantive commercial control over that business.
- 06Criterion
Include affiliate networks, billing programmes, and distribution systems specifically dedicated to commercial adult-content distribution.
Excluded on this basis alone
These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.
- 01Criterion
Exclude production-only activity when no separate distribution or streaming role is evidenced.
- 02Criterion
Exclude physical adult venues and services without media distribution.
- 03Criterion
Exclude general-purpose social, search, hosting, telecommunications, cloud, and mainstream media platforms where adult content is incidental, prohibited, or not a deliberate and material business line.
- 04Criterion
Exclude diversified retailers with incidental adult inventory below the applicable client-policy materiality threshold.
- 05Criterion
Exclude verified ceased adult-content distribution from current involvement while preserving historical involvement and effective dates.
