Evaluated screen

Alcohol Retail and Hospitality

Identifies companies and other entities that directly sell or serve alcoholic beverages to consumers through liquor retail, grocery, e-commerce, bars, restaurants, hotels, venues, or comparable hospitality channels. The screen records factual sale or service; revenue, materiality, incidental-service and diversified-retailer thresholds are client-policy overlays. Marketplaces without transaction or fulfilment responsibility and businesses without current alcohol sales are excluded.

How to read this definition

Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.

Does not establish this activity on its own

Excluded on this basis alone

5 criteria
  1. 01Criterion

Exclude production and wholesale from this screen when no separate direct consumer-sale or service activity is evidenced.

  2. 02Criterion

Exclude retailers and hospitality providers whose current operations do not sell or serve alcoholic beverages.

  3. 03Criterion

Exclude incidental alcohol exposure below the client’s selected revenue, outlet, or service-materiality threshold; factual sale remains recorded where evidenced.

  4. 04Criterion

Exclude online marketplaces that merely host third-party listings and do not act as licensed seller, merchant of record, payment controller, or fulfiller.

  5. 05Criterion

Exclude verified ceased alcohol retail or hospitality sales from current involvement while preserving historical involvement and effective dates.
