Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.
Included when supported
Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.
- 01Criterion
Nuclear Weapons Test and Evaluation Contractors
Defined as: Companies that conduct, support, instrument, evaluate, or analyze physical testing for nuclear weapons, nuclear warheads, nuclear-specific components, or nuclear delivery systems.
- 02Criterion
Stockpile Simulation and Certification Providers
Defined as: Companies providing modelling, simulation, code development, computational science, or certification support for nuclear-weapons stockpile assurance or modernization.
- 03Criterion
Dedicated High-Performance Computing for Nuclear Weapons
Defined as: Companies designing, building, operating, or materially supporting supercomputing or high-performance computing systems dedicated to nuclear-weapons laboratories or stockpile simulation programmes.
- 04Criterion
Nuclear Test Site and Range Support Providers
Defined as: Companies operating, maintaining, or materially supporting test sites, ranges, facilities, instrumentation, diagnostics, or data systems used for nuclear-weapons testing or evaluation.
- 05Criterion
Nuclear Missile and Delivery-System Test Support
Defined as: Companies providing operationally relevant test instrumentation, telemetry, evaluation, or validation for nuclear missile systems or nuclear-specific delivery platforms.
Excluded on this basis alone
These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.
- 01Criterion
Training and Operational Readiness Simulators
Defined as: Companies providing training simulators, classroom tools, exercises, or operational-readiness simulations only. This excluded screen category is not being created per user instruction.
- 02Criterion
General-Purpose IT or Computing Providers
Defined as: Companies providing ordinary cloud, hardware, software, data centre, or IT services without a dedicated nuclear-weapons simulation, certification, or testing nexus.
- 03Criterion
Civilian Nuclear Safety or Reactor Simulation
Defined as: Companies simulating or testing civilian reactors, nuclear power plants, nuclear medicine, industrial radiography, or civilian radiation safety only.
- 04Criterion
Arms-Control, Humanitarian, or Academic Impact Modelling
Defined as: Organizations modelling nuclear risk, humanitarian effects, nonproliferation, arms-control verification, or policy scenarios without supporting operational weapons development or certification.
- 05Criterion
Inert, Display, or Non-Operational Demonstration Testing
Defined as: Companies testing replicas, inert devices, museum items, or non-operational mock-ups without connection to operational weapon performance, certification, or modernization.
