Inclusion criteria describe evidence that can establish this activity. Exclusion criteria identify circumstances that do not establish it on that basis alone. The evaluation remains connected to its taxonomy version and supporting evidence.
Included when supported
Evidence may support involvement when it matches one or more of these inclusion criteria.
- 01Criterion
Nuclear Weapon Maintenance Contractors
Defined as: Companies that inspect, maintain, repair, refurbish, overhaul, or restore nuclear weapons, nuclear warheads, nuclear missiles, or nuclear-specific delivery systems to operational condition.
- 02Criterion
Life-Extension and Modernization Contractors
Defined as: Companies engaged in life-extension, refurbishment, upgrade, modernization, or sustainment programmes for nuclear weapons or nuclear-specific delivery systems.
- 03Criterion
Stockpile Sustainment Service Providers
Defined as: Companies providing lifecycle management, reliability assurance, component replacement, or surveillance services for deployed or stored nuclear weapons or warheads.
- 04Criterion
Nuclear-Specific Delivery Platform Lifecycle Support
Defined as: Companies providing lifecycle services to nuclear-armed submarines, nuclear-capable aircraft, or other nuclear-delivery platforms where the work materially supports the nuclear-weapons capability.
- 05Criterion
Replacement Parts and Upgrade Kits for Nuclear Systems
Defined as: Companies producing or supplying spare parts, upgrade kits, replacement assemblies, or repair services specifically for nuclear weapons or nuclear-specific delivery systems.
Excluded on this basis alone
These circumstances do not establish this activity unless separate evidence also meets an inclusion criterion.
- 01Criterion
Generic Military Equipment Maintenance
Defined as: Companies providing ordinary maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics, or parts for general military assets without a confirmed nuclear-weapons-specific role.
- 02Criterion
Civilian Nuclear Facility Maintenance
Defined as: Companies maintaining civilian nuclear reactors, nuclear power plants, civilian fuel facilities, or medical/industrial isotope infrastructure only.
- 03Criterion
Disarmament, Demilitarization, or Destruction Services
Defined as: Companies whose work is limited to dismantling, destroying, demilitarizing, deactivating, or rendering nuclear weapons or components permanently non-operational.
- 04Criterion
Training or Simulation-Only Services
Defined as: Companies providing maintenance training, simulations, mock-ups, or classroom support without performing operational maintenance or lifecycle services.
- 05Criterion
